Teachers and Staff
Preschool and Kindergarten Teacher:
Christina recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, and an Associates's in Intercultural Studies. She has several years of working with children including leading a youth summer camp with her husband. She has a heart for uplifting and growing little minds. Christina loves to read, garden, and play board games with her friends.
1st-2nd Grade Teacher
Jeanette is from Washington State. She is currently studying Secondary History Education at Grand Canyon University on-line. She is a retired retail sales manager and loves working with people of all ages.
In her free time, she likes reading, baking cakes for friends, and photography. She also has a little dog named Sparky that she loves to take for walks.
Zachary is beginning his fourth year of teaching. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in math education. Zack has worked with children and youth for most of his life and loves to see them grow and learn. He married his wife Christina in December of 2019. Some of Zack’s favorite things are reading, playing chess, and playing board games.
COVID-19 Newman Policy Summary
Newman is carefully monitoring TEA requirements and is dedicated to the safety of students, parents, faculty, and staff. Please see the current policy of Newman International Academy below. Any updates will be immediately posted on the Newman website.
Masks will be optional for students, parents, visitors, faculty and staff.
Gloves will be optional for students, parents, visitors, faculty and staff.
Parents may instruct their child to wear a mask and/or gloves; however, Newman does not assume responsibility for ensuring that the child wears these items correctly at all times.
Screening for COVID-19 will be done as necessary and on a contingency basis.
Students may be required to maintain social distancing (6 feet apart). Faculty and staff will strive to follow all district requirements and best practices.
Online education options will be provided for students and families who do not prefer an in- person learning environment.
